This provision meets requirements Children arrive excited for their time at this welcoming club. They show that they know the routine well, and as they arrive, they put their bags and coats away. Children happily choose from a range of activities that staff have planned for them.

Older children show kindness towards the younger children, they enjoy supporting and playing with them. Children behave well. They listen to instructions from staff and follow these well.

Consistency between the school and the club ensures that children know what is expected of them. Children engage well in activities that help to enhance their imagination. For example, children h...appily talk to each other and staff as they create models using play dough.

They proudly show their friends and adults what they have made. Staff have clear expectations for children and support them in their play. Staff encourage children to be independent and make choices.

During snack time, children take turns to help prepare and serve the snack. They confidently make sandwiches for themselves and their friends. Children happily sweep the floor and clear away toys at tidy up time.

What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?

The manager has clear expectations of what she would like children to achieve during their time at the club. Staff successfully evaluate the setting to ensure they create an inclusive environment that is safe for all children. Staff are happy and supported well.

They receive regular one-to-one meetings with managers to discuss their roles and responsibilities. Staff are offered training opportunities to enhance their skills and progress in their careers.Staff communicate well with children.

They talk to them about their day at school and ask questions about what they have been doing. Staff know the children well. They plan activities based on children's interests.

For example, children discussed how much they liked play dough. Staff then provided this for children to use.Staff build strong partnerships with the school.

Regular communication ensures they know the individual needs of the children that attend. Staff share information about any identified additional needs which provides consistency for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.Staff provide a range of materials and resources for children to be creative.

This gives children the opportunity to sit quietly and draw. For example, children create quizzes that they use to challenge their friends and staff.Parents receive weekly emails which provide information on planned activities for the following week.

Staff share updates and feedback from class teachers, and parents' comment that their children are happy to attend.
