The provision is good • Leaders and managers are extremely committed to providing high-quality early years experiences for children and their families.

They work closely with staff, children and parents to evaluate the quality of the nursery and identify aspects for further improvement. • Staff observe children and accurately assess their progress. They use this information well to identify gaps in children's learning and to plan a range of activities based on children's interests.

This helps to ensure that all children receive the support they need to make good progress. • Children are confident, settled and have high self-esteem. Staff provide a warm, welcome and nurtu...ring environment.

They plan a wide range of activities that helps to develop a sense of community for families who attend the nursery. • Partnerships with parents and other professionals are exceptionally strong. Parents are extremely well informed of their child's progress and are provided with a wealth of ideas that they can use to support their children's learning at home further.

• Staff enhance and enrich children's experiences superbly by the use of expert teachers, for example, during music therapy, Spanish and swimming lessons. It is not yet outstanding because: • Occasionally, some staff overlook and miss opportunities to challenge children even further in their thinking and learning. • At times, there are few opportunities for older children to develop fully and practise their early writing skills.
