Summary of key findings for parents

The provision is good • There is very good attention to children developing a healthy lifestyle.

For example, children enjoy eating healthy snacks and relish outdoor play in a well-resourced and stimulating outdoor area. • Staff regularly observe, assess and monitor children's learning, to aid their progression. Additional funding is used effectively to support children's learning, where they need it most.

All children, including children who speak English as an additional language and children who have special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities, make good progress from their starting points. • Key-person relationships with children and partnerships with parents... are strong. Staff know the children well.

They exchange regular information about children's care and learning with parents. Parents comment positively about the provision. • The manager and her staff use their child protection training, policies and procedures effectively.

They are quick to work with the appropriate agencies where they have concerns about a child's protection, safety, health or welfare. It is not yet outstanding because: • Staff do not consistently use opportunities for children to extend their problem-solving skills. • Although staff use a variety of strategies to promote good behaviour, they sometimes do not fully support children to consider the consequences of their behaviour.
