This provision is good • The provider and manager have high expectations and are committed to improving outcomes for children.

The staff are enthusiastic and supportive. • The manager and staff use observations and assessments effectively to identify what children need to learn next, helping them to make good progress in their learning and development. • Staff provide a highly stimulating environment, both indoors and outdoors, with a wealth of opportunities and resources for play and exploration.

• The provider uses effective recruitment, induction, supervision and ongoing appraisal processes well to ensure all staff are confident and capable in their roles and are safe... to work with children. • Partnerships with parents are good. Staff share children's learning with them regularly and in a variety of ways.

Parents are highly complimentary of staff and appreciate their support. • Staff do not always recognise when to build on children's interest during activities, to encourage them to explore their own ideas and to predict what might happen next, based on what they already know. • On occasions, staff do not make the most of opportunities to extend children's good mathematical understanding.
