This provision is goodnThe provider has successfully worked in partnership with the local authority to drive improvement within the setting.

A high priority has been placed on developing the staff's skills and knowledge, particularly around safeguarding. For example, they have completed training on general child protection along with the wider aspects of safeguarding children. nOlder children are particularly nurturing towards the younger ones.

They plan and organise games for them to play, supporting younger children during mealtimes by sitting close and providing friendships for those that are new. nStaff support children's personal development exceptionally well. They ...provide opportunities for children to assess and manage their own risk during the activities provided.

For example, while building dens in the wood, the children identify low-level branches of the tree that are dangerous, working out how they can make the area safer.nChildren enjoy eating healthy meals and snacks. A nutritious menu is provided throughout the day, taking into consideration individual dietary needs.

Children actively participate in mealtimes by making and deciding what to put in their sandwiches, cutting up their fruit and vegetables, and through discussions about the foods that are good for them. This contributes to their understanding of a healthy lifestyle. nPartnerships with other professionals are not fully development to ensure more-detailed information is gained to support the needs of all children to the highest level.
