This provision meets requirements Children are welcomed into a caring and fun environment. Staff know the children well.

They talk to them about their day and listen attentively. Staff deployment is effective. All children spend some one-to-one time with a member of staff.

Children tell the inspector they are safe and like coming to the club. They have warm bonds with the staff and talk about their favourite activities and the staff. Staff provide children with experiences that complement their learning in school.

Some children practise using a glue stick and use their fine motor skills to make a caterpillar. They count the legs as they stick them down, add eyes, draw on a mouth and write their name on their work. Children benefit from high level interactions outdoors and staff join the children during play.

Older children talk to younger children. They help them construct a rainbow, showing them how to connect pieces together. Staff are very inclusive and are quick to identify if children need extra encouragement to join in.

Staff promote children's independence very well. After children finish playing with messy activities, they sweep up, and are excited to help the staff. Older children support younger children to sharpen their colouring pencils.

Staff know their duty of care towards children and their families. They know the indicators of domestic abuse. The provider has strong knowledge of the referral procedures for reporting concerns to the local authority.
