This provision is good • The ambitious and dedicated manager, who has a clear vision for the nursery's future, leads her staff team well. All staff are committed to providing children with a good-quality learning environment. • Staff plan a range of activities that interests and motivates children's play.

They teach children about people in the wider world and to respect each other's differences. For example, children enjoy a wide range of activities, such as sampling foods from other cultures. All children make good progress from their starting points, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

• Children develop close attachments with the ki...nd and caring staff team. They are happy and feel safe and settled in this welcoming child-friendly nursery. • Staff support children's move to school well.

For example, visits enable good sharing of information and provide opportunities for children to become familiar with staff at their new school. • Although the quality of teaching is good, the manager does not focus as fully as possible on ways to support the ongoing professional development of staff in order to continually enhance their skills and knowledge. • The manager has not successfully developed strategies to fully engage parents in their children's learning and development.
