They settle well and enjoy the activities on offer. There are lots of resources and well-planned activities for children to choose from and as a result, children are busy and have fun. • Staff have a good knowledge of how to manage accidents when they occur.

They act swiftly and appropriately to make sure children get the treatment they need, and procedures are followed correctly. • Staff provide a warm, nurturing environment where children feel valued and are well cared for. • Children behave well and develop secure friendships.

Older children are very mindful of the needs of their younger friends and ...take great care to include them in activities. • Staff know and understand individual children well. They are very aware of their interests and how they like to spend their time.

Staff make good use of information from school to help children continue their learning. • Although staff have good opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge, they are not provided with specific feedback on their individual performance and on how they each can improve their practice. • Parents state that they would welcome more information from staff about the activities their children have taken part in and about how they spend their time at the club.
