Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • The manager and staff are committed to providing the best possible service for children and families.

They evaluate their practice effectively to clearly identify areas for improvement. This has led to a very successful reorganisation of the environment, which children enjoy exploring using stimulating resources that inspire their imaginations. • Children receive nurturing support to their social and emotional development.

Parents speak highly of the strong bonds their children form with the caring and attentive staff. • Staff provide good support to children's learning through positive interactions. For example, they encourage older children to ...experiment and discover what might happen when they add more water to their mud pies.

Children become immersed in their play, follow their own ideas and make good progress in their learning. • The manager and staff have developed very effective partnerships with local schools that support children's confidence when they move on to their future education. For example, staff organise joint activities and children become familiar with school life.

• Staff organise adult-guided group activities effectively to support children's learning. However, some larger group activities do not fully engage and challenge all children. • Staff do not gather detailed information from parents about children's abilities when they begin attending, to better inform their planning from the outset.
