Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good The manager is fully committed to supporting all staff to develop their practice to the highest standards. She ensures that a wide range of training opportunities and effective supervision arrangements are in place to support staff to continually improve. Children are confident and motivated learners.

They are interested in the wide range of interesting activities that is on offer to them. For example, toddlers are excited to plant seeds in the outdoor area. They understand the need to water plants to help them to grow.

Qualified and experienced staff skilfully play alongside children in their self-chosen activities. They ask a range of questions t...o extend children's learning and support them to make good progress. For instance, pre-school children are supported to learn more about their interest in volcanoes as they engage in imaginative play in the sand.

Children thrive during regular singing activities. They are delighted to select props from song bags and enthusiastically join in with singing the words and doing the actions. The learning environment has clearly defined and well-equipped play areas.

Children select from an interesting range of resources in their play. Babies learn how to build sandcastles and staff introduce new words such as 'full' and 'empty' as they play. It is not yet outstanding because: Systems to precisely evaluate practice and identify highly focused areas for development are not fully embedded to improve outcomes for children to the highest standards.
