For example, staff now obtain consent from parents before administering medication to children. The manager encourages staff to reflect on their practice. She provides opportunities to maintain their professional development and enhance their skills.

Staff have strengthened their working partnerships with parents. They share regular information about children's learning and encourage parents to extend children's development at home. Staff know children's interests and needs well.

They use this information effectively to pla...n stimulating opportunities for children to learn and to help them make good progress with their development. Children behave well. They show a clear understanding of right from wrong and demonstrate this in practice.

For example, they remind other children of what to do and the behaviour that is acceptable.
