They have space and time in the session to select a variety of activities and play independently or as part of a group. • Staff are positive role models and children behave well.

They encourage children to be polite and to await their turns when, for example, they play card or board games. Children are happy and busy. • Staff have a positive understanding of their responsibilities to keep children safe and protected from harm.

Children develop strong bonds with the staff and firm friendships with other children. • The staff team wor...ks well with the committee to ensure the club's policies are relevant and up to date and set a direction for further development. • Staff have a good relationship with the host school that children attend.

They regularly discuss children's needs with school staff in order to provide support and continuity to their experiences. • Relationships with parents are very good. Parents feel that children are well cared for and supported well.
