They use additional funding well to help children make good progress. • Staff provide a well-resourced and stimulating environment. They present the toys and resources effectively to support children's free choice and independence.

Staff demonstrate a good understanding of how children learn and develop. They are skilful in following children's interests and provide activities that they know children will enjoy. • Children demonstrate that they are happy and enjoy their time at the nursery.

They make friends and build relationships. Children enjoy spending time outdoors. They are busy and active in the fresh air.

This helps to promote their good health and supports their physical well-being. • The management team does not monitor staff performance as rigorously as it could in order to enhance specific skills and raise the quality of teaching even further. • Staff do not always help children to build on their understanding of how to keep themselves and others safe.
