The provision is good • Staff are kind and attentive towards the children. They understand the children well and provide them with good levels of emotional security.

Children enjoy spending time in the holiday playscheme. • Staff are good role models, for example, they speak to the children and each other with respect. Children have good opportunities to learn about turn taking, for instance, they wait patiently for their turn while mixing and stirring cooking ingredients.

• Children use language well. For example, staff listen to the children and encourage them to think about how they answer and what this means, which they do enthusiastically. • Children behave very wel...l and are good friends to each other.

For instance, they understand that the younger children may not understand everything and help smaller children reach their lunch boxes. It is not yet outstanding because: • On occasion, some of the children in the early years age group are not fully engaged in group activities. • Children who are tired do not have a comfortable space where they can rest and relax.
