Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • Partnerships with parents are well established. Parents feel well listened to and able to discuss any concerns or make any suggestions about possible improvements.

They feel informed about how their children are developing and are given ideas about how to support children's development at home. • The manager reflects on practice regularly and identifies areas of the pre-school that need further development. Changes to enhance the environment are implemented quickly and any plans for future improvements are communicated and shared with staff and parents.

The setting has recently developed their outside area and included suggestions made by parents.... • Children behave very well. They move around the setting confidently and access resources independently.

They understand the rules and boundaries and support their peers in understanding them. • Children's progress is monitored regularly and any gaps in their development are identified quickly. Staff respond well to children's interests and plan activities that reflect these.

Staff support children to make progress and ensure interventions are in place to support children to meet their full potential. • The manager does not always fully build on staff's professional development to raise the quality of the provision and to enhance outcomes for children. • At times, staff do not prepare children for changes in the routine which can lead to their play being interrupted unnecessarily.
