Summary of key findings for parents

The provision is good • All staff work within the host school that children attend.

They share information about planned activities and work cooperatively to ensure they can offer continuity for children's care, learning and behaviour. • Children of all ages are happy, confident and have good self-esteem. They quickly settle in at the club and develop warm and affectionate relationships with staff.

• Children eagerly take part in creative activities. They make pictures using various resources and express their creativity during activities that help them learn about important celebrations from other cultures. They take great pride in their achievements and enjoy sharing t...hese with visitors, staff and their friends.

• Staff provide a wide range of stimulating experiences for children indoors and outdoors. Children demonstrate high levels of engagement and successfully build on the skills they are learning at school. • Parents are happy with the service offered by the club.

They express how staff are wonderful and how their children enjoy the play activities offered to them. It is not yet outstanding because: • The key-person system is not always used highly successfully at providing opportunities to continue to develop relationships and share information with parents. • At times, routines, such as snack time, and outdoor play opportunities are not managed highly effectively to make the most of the time available to children at the club.
