Summary of key findings for parents

The provision is good • Children are happy at the club and are eager to attend. They play well together and are confident in their communication and language skills.

• The manager ensures that staff have a secure and confident knowledge of how to identify and effectively respond to any concerns about a child's welfare. All staff attend regular safeguarding training to ensure that they are kept up to date with any changes. • The manager effectively evaluates the club environment and play opportunities.

For example, she carries out daily observations, and seeks the views of parents, staff and children to identify aspects of the provision to develop further. • Staff know th...e children well. They take account of children's requests and interests to provide a wide range of activities that children enjoy.

Staff effectively follow the children's lead in their play choices and become actively involved in their games. This helps the children stay enthusiastic and motivated in their play. • Partnerships with parents are strong and parents value the good quality care that staff provide.

It is not yet outstanding because: • Staff do not consistently support children's understanding of how to keep themselves healthy. They do not always monitor children washing their hands well enough to make sure that this practice is consistently embedded naturally into routines. • Staff occasionally complete tasks for the children that they are capable of doing themselves.
