Staff are positive role models and set clear expectations. Children are well behaved and kind. They include other children in their play and share resources.

Partnerships with parents are well established. Parents feel confident that staff value and care for their children well. They comment that their children very much look forward to attending the club and often do not want to leave.

Children's learning and development is well supported by staff who use information from parents to get to know children quickly. This helps them to provi...de for children's interests. Children explain that they enjoy trying new things and seeing their friends.

Staff ensure they safely transfer children from school to the club. They use these opportunities to effectively help children learn how to keep themselves safe. Children are consulted and take part in developing the weekly menus.

Staff successfully use these opportunities to help children understand which foods help to keep them healthier than others. It is not yet outstanding because: The provider does not yet identify precise professional development and training opportunities for staff to raise practice further. Staff do not provide a wide range of opportunities to help children learn about and respect other communities and families beyond their immediate experience.
