Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • Staff are excellent role models and children behave well. Children show great respect for each other, they take turns and share resources. They work together as they tidy up and put toys in their appropriate place.

• Risk assessments are robust. Children know how to take steps to keep themselves safe. Younger children understand the need to hold onto the lower hand rail as they walk down the stairs.

• Partnerships with parents are effective. Staff work closely with parents when children first start at the nursery, gaining information about children's individual needs. Parents are kept well informed about their children's progress.

• Staf...f effectively involve all children when taking part in group activities together, such as circle time. Staff extend opportunities to introduce new language as children share their feelings. • Staff quickly identify any children who need additional support and those who have special educational needs/and or disabilities.

Effective partnerships with other professionals ensure children receive the support they need. • The experiences provided for those children who prefer to learn outdoors do not consistently promote a wide range of learning opportunities. • Some targets set for children's learning needs are not always precise enough to ensure that children are able to progress to the highest possible level.
