This provision meets requirements Children are very happy to come to the club.

They are warmly greeted by staff from the moment they arrive. The club ensures that key members of staff are consistently assigned to the different age groups to ensure children feel emotionally secure while at the club.Staff are flexible in adapting planning to meet the needs of a range of children.

They follow children's interests and listen to their feedback. Children in the early years age range complete an 'All About Me' poster, so that staff can get to know more about them and their families. The planned activities ensure children have a variety of interesting and exciting... experiences.

Younger children have a designated area equipped with age-appropriate activities. The large sports hall and playground are used to allow children to enjoy fresh air and exercise. Children enjoy engaging in a range of team based games led by the experienced staff team.

Children behave well and staff ensure that they understand the set routines and explain the daily timetable of activities on offer. Staff give children clear instructions. For example, for collecting their water bottles and for tidying up after activities.

Children respond well to the staff and staff offer them high praise.

What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?

Children have a positive attitude to their play and learning and are fully engaged. They enjoy the wide range of activities on offer, some of which include drama, dance, art, tennis and basketball.

Staff are skilled in tailoring activities to ensure children maintain focus and enjoyment.Children are encouraged to be independent, and staff give them clear and consistent messages on the importance of hygiene practices before and after mealtimes. Children are supported well in climbing up and down stairs and on the importance of safety while travelling around the building.

Staff have a positive, calm approach to supporting children to behave well. They clearly outline their expectations and remind children that rules are in place to keep them safe. They support children to talk through any disputes to find a resolution.

They encourage friendships, teamwork and turn taking.Parents are extremely happy with the club. The large noticeboard in the entrance hall outlines the club's contact information and provides parents with a timetable for the day.

Staff are on hand at the end of the day to talk to parents about what their children have been doing and to share and celebrate their achievements. Parents say it is well organised and there is effective communication. Staff take on board individual requests from parents for their children to engage in specific activities.

Staff promote the importance of healthy eating and offer parents advice on healthy snacks and lunches. Staff talk to children through their planned activities about the importance of healthy eating as part of a healthy lifestyle. However, engaging in discussions with children during mealtimes about making healthy food choices would support their understanding even further.

The club has invested in an experienced staff team, who are very well supported by their leaders and managers. The thorough training opportunities ensure staff are able to offer children a range of skill based activities, such as fencing and archery. Children are taught specific sports techniques by the experienced sports teachers.

For example, in how to hold a tennis racquet and correct positioning during play. Younger children learn to cut, write letters of their name supported by the club's designated early years teacher.The club is inclusive and celebrates all children's religious and cultural backgrounds.

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported well with targeted plans and heightened ratios of staff where needed. The environment is adapted to ensure it meets the needs of all learners.
