This provision is good • Staff have an excellent partnership with the host school. Effective methods to share information are in place. This helps to support the continuity of care and learning for children.

• Children enjoy their time in the welcoming and stimulating club. They have warm and affectionate relationships with the staff. This helps to promote children's emotional well-being.

• Children have lots of opportunity to be physically active after a day at school. They access a well-equipped outside play area, the school hall and field. This helps to promote children's physical development very well.

• Staff provide a broad range of play experiences. Child...ren happily join in with activities and enjoy playing alongside their friends. They can choose to be active, take part in creative activities or engage in various games.

• Staff build positive relationships with parents. Parents are complimentary about the care provided and comment that staff are friendly and children are happy at the club. • Children are generally well behaved.

They are polite and courteous to each other and to staff. Children help to tidy up after snack time and enjoy taking responsibility for the club. They demonstrate that they feel safe and comfortable.

• The manager works alongside the staff and supports them well to develop their skills and knowledge. She gathers the views of staff, parents and children to help improve the service offered and to build on the good practice provided. • Occasionally, staff are not always quick enough to notice and to act before children have climbed on the furniture.
