Staff have good knowledge about each child and their specific needs. They are skilful at distracting and using effective strategies to calm children and support their behaviour. This ensures that everyone stays safe.

Children have many opportunities... to be physically active and access fresh air and exercise. They enjoy taking part in a wide range of activities in the indoor and outdoor environment. Children negotiate their way around the soft-play areas and use the large-scale equipment to help them to learn how to take calculated risks in their play.

They enjoy using the bouncy castle, making crafts and exploring messy play activities.Staff are attentive to the children, with most children receiving one-to-one care. Non-mobile and non-verbal children enjoy one-to-one moments with staff who successfully encourage their eye contact as they make sounds and actions, and use facial expressions.

For example, the managers gather detailed information about the children before they start at the playscheme, and implement health, care and behaviour plans effectively.

They are aware of the importance of sharing information effectively to support children's individual needs. Parents appreciate the support staff provide them during challenging times.Children's individual behaviours and levels of mobility are carefully considered by managers when allocating days for children to attend.

Staff are highly trained to meet children's varying needs. For example, they know how to use a gastronomy feeding tube and how to respond to children with epilepsy.Staff encourage children to develop their social communication skills.
