Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good Children are happy and enter the after-school club confidently. They demonstrate that they are at ease in the club and settle well into activities that complement their ongoing learning at school.

Staff provide a welcoming and safe environment for the children to play and be active. Children enjoy the activities on offer and have a good amount of time to be outside in the fresh air. The management team has effective recruitment, vetting and supervision programmes in place to ensure that staff are safe and suitable to work with children.

Communication with parents and other professionals is good. Staff regularly exchange messages and share updates, ...news and information about children's achievements to promote continuity of care. The management team and staff review their practice well.

For example, they meet regularly to discuss the provision and ensure the club is running smoothly. It is not yet outstanding because: On occasion, staff do not consistently explain to children about the setting rules and the potential implications of their actions. At times, staff do not consistently teach children about the best possible hygiene practices to reinforce their awareness of how these can contribute to their good health.
