This provision is outstanding • The manager and staff team have worked exceptionally hard to improve the quality of the club since the last inspection. They have actioned the recommendations raised and enhanced many other aspects of their practice. For example, staff now use self-evaluation to prioritise and target areas for development.

This helps to enrich play and learning experiences for children and improve the overall quality of the club. • Staff deployment is excellent. They use every opportunity to enrich children's learning experiences and make extremely effective use of the indoor and outdoor learning environment.

• Children flourish and display a strong sense ...of belonging at this homely and welcoming club. They play in an environment which is extremely well organised and has a wide array of interesting resources both indoors and outside. Children have fun.

Their play is freely chosen and under their control. • Staff plan an excellent range of challenging activities and experiences based on children's individual interests and to help complement their learning in school. Children are thoroughly engrossed in their play and learning.

• Children build superb relationships with staff and strong friendships with each other. Staff have a remarkable knowledge of the children in their care and demonstrate a genuine affection for them. They are extremely caring and sensitive.

Children demonstrate high levels of emotional security and self-esteem. • Staff promote equality, trust and mutual respect throughout their practice. Children develop an excellent understanding of people and communities beyond their own experience.

• Staff establish exceptional partnerships with the host school, which all children also attend. This helps staff to complement children's learning at school to optimum level. Staff create a fun-filled, interesting and safe environment where children can rest and play after a busy day at school.
