This is a good school The headteacher's strong determination and commitment to raising standards have led to rapid improvements in the quality of teaching following an unsettled period with many staff changes. Governors are highly effective.

Pupils enjoy their lessons and get on well with one another. Pupils feel safe in school. The school environment is calm and purposeful.

Occasionally, work for some disadvantaged and most-able pupils is not always carefully matched to their needs. This means that they do not always achieve what they are capable of.
