Cwmnedd Primary School is in the village of Glynneath, in the Neath Port Talbot local authority. There are currently 217 pupils on roll aged 3 to 11, including 50 who attend the nursery part-time.

The school operates on two sites. The purpose-built unit for pupils in the nursery and reception classes is on the Morfa Glas site, approximately 500 metres from the main school. There are four single-age classes in the foundation phase and three mixed-age classes in key stage 2.
