The trust provides strong governance for Ludlow Infant Academy. Trustees secure strong accountability, for example in how leaders spend the school's money. The school's values are embedded successfully.

They contribute effectively to pupils' good behaviour within lessons and during play. The school's broad curriculum builds pupils' knowledge and understanding well. There is an appropriate range of clubs and educational visits to enrich learning.

Teaching is good throughout the school. Learning is carefully planned to e...nsure that most pupils make good progress from their starting points. Personal development and welfare at Ludlow Infant Academy is outstanding.

The management of subjects beyond English and mathematics is still developing at Ludlow Infant Academy. Some lessons are not sufficiently challenging to ensure that the most able pupils, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, achieve at the highest standards. In the early years, some adult interactions and questioning are not focused sharply enough on developing children's skills and knowledge.

Rates of attendance at Ludlow Infant Academy need to improve further. Pupils who have special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities miss too much school.
