This is an outstanding school The headteacher's relentless commitment to securing excellent outcomes for all pupils has ensured that the school has improved since its last inspection.

The school serves those pupils whose needs or backgrounds leave them potentially vulnerable to underachievement exceptionally well. Pupils who arrive at the school with little English, those from disadvantaged backgrounds and pupils who have special educational needs and/ or disabilities make outstanding progress from their starting points. The quality of teaching is consistently high.

Senior and middle leaders use exceptional skills to challenge and support teachers to continuou...sly strive to improve further. The proportion of pupils working at greater depth is increasing rapidly. Leaders recognise the need to ensure that teachers have the skills and knowledge to stretch and challenge these pupils even more effectively.

The curriculum is exciting. It covers a broad range of excellent opportunities to strengthen pupils' skills and understanding across a wide range of subjects. Pupils' conduct and attitudes to learning are exemplary.

Pupils' personal development is rapid. They speak passionately about their contributions to the school community. They convey self-confidence in their preparedness for their future lives.

Safeguarding is effective. Leaders and governors demonstrate vigilance in responding to concerns and ensuring that staff understand safeguarding arrangements. The early years prepare children well for the next stage of their education.

Children of all abilities make rapid progress. Governance is strong. Governors understand the school's work and know the most effective questions to ask of leaders.
