Description of the school

This average size school is in a relatively advantaged area but draws its pupils from the full range of social and economic backgrounds.

The great majority of pupils are from White British backgrounds and none are at an early stage of learning to speak English. The proportion of pupils eligible for free school meals is well below average as is the proportion of pupils with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The school holds the Artsmark, Activemark, Basic Skills Quality Mark, Health Promoting School, Investors in People and the Wirral Inclusion Awards.
