This provision is good • Staff create a welcoming and stimulating environment for children. The club is well equipped with resources to support indoor play. Staff plan and provide a good range of activities for children as well as enabling them to make their own choices.

Children say the club is good fun and they enjoy attending. They say the staff are kind. • Staff give high priority to supporting children's well-being.

For example, they are vigilant about meeting children's health and dietary needs. Children enjoy a substantial and healthy tea. • Children's behaviour is exemplary.

Older children are extremely well behaved and are excellent role models to young...er children. • Managers and staff forge strong and effective partnerships with parents and the host school. Information about children's individual needs is well shared.

Parents hold the staff in high regard. • The provider implements robust staff recruitment procedures. New staff are thoroughly inducted, particularly on safeguarding policies and procedures, and receive good professional development support.

• Staff planning and provision for outdoor play does not match the higher quality opportunities provided indoors. • Although, at children's request, staff have shortened the routine to welcome children after school, for some this is still too long. Some children lack concentration and enthusiasm to contribute as they are keen to go and play.
