This provision meets requirements Staff create a fun, safe and inviting play environment for children.

As children arrive from school, their laughter and eagerness to play fills the air of this first-rate club. They are keen to inform the inspector that the club is 'amazing'. Children have a strong sense of belonging and settle quickly.

They behave well and show excellent attitudes towards their play. They are courteous towards visitors and are keen to showcase their artwork. Children are immersed in deep play and the atmosphere buzzes with their high energy.

They enact roles of superheroes and search for 'treasure' outdoors. Younger children play... board games and show good levels of concentration. They learn the names of different animals and talk about different habitats.

Children show a great interest in caring for the environment. They are enthralled while learning about the ocean and know how they can help to reduce pollution. Children are highly independent.

For example, they help to set up activities, tidy toys away and take care of their personal belongings.

What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?

The manager leads the club with passion and determination. Her ethos of 'aiming high' is what makes this club so special.

Self-evaluation is accurate and the manager's capacity to continually improve the club is good.Staff provide children with a balanced and broad play programme. They liaise with teachers, parents and children to ensure that activities are fun.

Children relish the abundance of activities on offer. They cannot contain their excitement while learning about world animal day. Younger children giggle with delight while singing.

Staff help children to build homes for insects outdoors. Children discussed the life cycle of different animals and how important bees are.Leaders give staff well-being high priority.

Staff morale is high. They say that they could not ask for a better place to work. Staff receive regular supervision sessions and appraisal meetings.

Meaningful targets are set for staff and the manager reviews these with rigour. Staff report that training helps them to improve their practice, such as how to use sign language to communicate with children.Care practices are excellent.

Staff ensure that a smooth transition into the club happens for each child in their care. This is due to the excellent partnership working embedded in everyday practice. Children develop secure friendships and build trusting relationships with staff.

This means that children are highly resilient and self-assured individuals.Staff provide children with healthy and nutritious foods. Children understand about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.

They discussed why it is crucial to keep physically active. Children show a good understanding of oral health, for example they spoke about visiting the dentist.Staff teach children well about similarities and differences.

Children relish learning about festivals and celebrations. They take part in charity events and learn about people who are less fortunate than they are. Children discussed how some children look different, such as skin and eye colour.

Children are proud of where they come from and have a good understanding of the world around them. They show respect, acceptance, and tolerance towards each other.Staff support children's individual creativity exceptionally well.

Children are confident to be themselves in the nurturing play environment. They delight in enacting the roles of teachers. Children take part in a variety of craft activities and learn how to safely use tools while sewing.

Parental partnerships are exceptional. Parents speak highly about the club and staff. They said that staff go above and beyond and create a fabulous place for children to play.

Staff ensure parents are fully supported in every aspect of their children's time at the club. Links with external professionals are rooted in a mutual agreement of helping children to thrive through play.Children's excitement is truly palpable as they play outdoors.

They excitedly invite staff to play ring games and cheer their friends on while playing running games. Children show excellent physical dexterity while climbing and balancing. They skilfully jump over obstacles and use apparatus to pull themselves up.

Children develop good upper body strength and are keen to take on new challenges, such as learning how to ride a scooter.The support in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is good. Intervention plans are robust and staff understand the best ways to support children with SEND.

Safeguarding

The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.The premises are safe and secure.

Leaders check the identification of visitors. A robust safeguarding policy is in place and is in line with local procedures. Leaders ensure that staff attend child protection training and keep up to date with changes in legislation.

An open culture of safeguarding runs throughout the club. Everyone working at the club has a mutual understanding that keeping children safe is everyone's responsibility. Staff empower children with the knowledge of how to keep themselves safe.
